November 2019 News Roundup

Another month has come and gone in Navārdia, and it has brought many interesting developments to the nation. We’re finally in the middle of the holiday season. Navārdia celebrated two holidays this month, Dead Nations’ Day and Thanksgiving. Additionally, an email address was set up for international communication. Treaties have been signed with three other nations, and talks are open with around three more. To summarize this November news and more, here is the monthly news roundup.

Navārdia to Join Confederacy Soon

On November 27th, Tsar Charles of Phokland invited Grand Duke Casper to incorporate Navārdia into the newly founded Union of East-Erica. It is a type of confederation that acts as a unified country while still allowing its constituents to manage many of their own affairs. Charles’ offer accepted but later postponed to give the leaders more time to plan the union’s functions. As this is a developing story, more news on East-Erica will surely come soon.

Thanksgiving in Navārdia

On the last Thursday of November, Thanksgiving was celebrated by Navārdians, Americans and more. In Capital, residents watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade and prepared a large dinner. The most anomalous things about the dinner were the lack of turkey, and a pumpkin pie that had the properties of a pudding. It was all delectable nonetheless.

Families and friends across the continent gathered to enjoy quality time that day. We here at Navārdia News hope that all our readers had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Atlanta Regional Union and New Athens

Navārdia came one step closer to uniting the local micronationalist community on the 29th, when communication was formally initiated with the Free Nation of New Athens, a local nation with land claims surrounded by the US cities of Acworth and Roswell. King Tyler of New Athens has already expressed interest in the local area union proposed by Casper, and the creation of the organization may very well be discussed during New Athenian-Navārdian talks.

It is worth noting that Unicornia’s stance on the Atlanta Regional Union has not been obtained by Navārdia News. It is unknown if they will be joining the organization, but an update will be given after the next state visit.

Two New Citizens Join Navārdia

Two citizens were welcomed into Navārdia on the night of the 29th. Pseudonymously referred to as Chirp and Lucky, they are both family and friend to Grand Duke Casper. Their joining raises the citizenship total to five, the highest in the history of the nation.
