In recent months, lost information regarding the Saspearian Declaration of Independence has been recovered, revealing that the document was originally signed by seven delegates. The declaration was created and ratified in October 2017, and was originally thought to have between three and five signatures. The delegates after these latest discoveries are as follows: Bryce van Houten, Jackson W. (assumed name), Leo Vargas, Sebastian Henao, Emaad Karim, Rishi Srinivassan and Anthony Gaitian. Anthony authored the declaration, and has since been inaugurated as the Emperor of Saspearian.
Even more recently, the COVID-19 pandemic has hit areas of Texas close to the territories of Saspearian. On March 14th, after two cases reported near its borders, a Public Health Emergency was declared in Saspearian. As of the time of writing, no cases of the novel coronavirus have been reported in the nation.
