Naveria, Elections and Mandates

Navārdia is dead! Long live ̶N̶a̶v̶ā̶r̶d̶i̶a̶ Naveria!

After a month and a half of independence as the Grand Navārdian Commonwealth - better described as a Navārdian Transitional Government - a constitution has been ratified which transformed the nation into the Commonwealth of Naveria on Thursday. Besides the name change and other rebranding, the new constitution did not bring about major change, instead improving the content of the transitional constitution.

Shortly after the constitution came into effect, HRH Duke Casper von Naveria ordered a General Election for July 24th and began accepting candidates for parliamentary representatives and parish councilors. The roster of candidates for this election will be finalized and announced on the 10th. (The Orblian Observer will likely publish this information in tandem with the Naverian Commissariat for Press.)

The colonization of Sabiland is also set to occur on the 10th. During this period, the residents of the mandate will make decisions related to the permanent governance of the division. Its government will either transition into a parish or a special administrative region. The Orblian Observer can exclusively report that Sabiland is likely to become a special administrative region based on previous statements by the Governing Commissioner, HRH Duke Grandmother Pauline von Naveria.

Rhyrodesia, the second mandate of Navārdia, made its government transition when the constitution of Naveria was put into effect, becoming a parish. Eggs Benedict, the division's Governing Commissioner during its period as a mandate, has become the Governor-by-default of the parish due to her status as the sole citizen resident. In the event that Rhyrodesia's other residents become citizens and start campaigns to become the Governor before July 10th, Benedict will lose the title of Governor-by-default and face opposition in the General Election.
