Foundation of Todge

At 9:48pm CNT on September 29th, the Memorial Honorary District of Todge was annexed from Burnside, Kentucky in the United States of America. This comes after the death of the Grand Duke's grandfather. He stayed in Kentucky this weekend with the rest of his family to mourn his late relative, one of many police officers and army members in his bloodline, and thus one of the central inspirations of the Grand Duchy. Coincidentally, he was also rewriting the lawbook to allow for other territorial claims, including 'honorary districts', which are symbolic claims of land that may be dedicated to someone or something of national importance. A flag design was created and the territory was annexed. "I only hope that this place can preserve his legacy forever," the Grand Duke said on the subject.

Lawbook Rewrite

The lawbook of Navārdia is being rewritten by the Grand Duke to be more professional and effective. With the rewrite comes changes to the management of the land claimed by the nation, a check system to prevent government corruption and even details of the national currencies, of which there will be two. Currently there is no word on when to expect the revised lawbook, but information will be posted to the newsfeed as soon as possible.

Population Boom Incoming?

A total of two people are considering becoming the first citizens of Navārdia besides the Grand Duke, and that number is slowly but surely growing. The Grand Duke has said he would like to have eight other citizens - in other words, a complete High Council. As word about the new nation spreads, so do the chances of meeting the population goal.
